Evalueserve - Credit Research Role (3-8 yrs)

This role will require the candidate to work on investment research assignments. The selected candidate will work closely with asset managers and their investment team to review specific securities with a view to help the client take investment decisions.


This will include:

- Building detailed credit models (historical and forecasts) including analysis of various leverage metrics

- Write earning notes, quarterly updates, coverage reports, sector reports, newsletters, event updates, etc

- Financial statement analysis using company filings and databases including Bloomberg/Thomson

- Developing company's operating metrics in conjunction with their relevance in different sectors/companies

- Analyze capital structure and analyze debt based on seniority and maturity, review covenants, peer comparison, etc

- Reviewing company bond indentures & reports published by rating agencies

- Prepare industry write-ups / reports especially preparing regulatory credit reports

- Listening to and summarizing investment conference calls

- Handling adhoc research requests as per client requirements

Skillset Required

- Excellent communication skills - Ability to engage senior stakeholders in discussions and be able to present one's point of view, challenge assumptions, present and defend investment thesis

- Excellent report writing skills with ability to summarize a lot of literature in a concise manner

- Ability to work on unstructured problems and be able to independently suggest different approaches for analysing investment scenarios

- Ability to identify and solve issues effectively on time, eye for details

- Excellent MS Office Skills

- Strong Accounting and financial skills

- Challenging current thinking by implementing new ways of working

- Ability to practice attentive and active listening skills

- Good knowledge of macroeconomics aggregates

- Ability to ensure that tasks within areas of responsibility are completed in a timely manner

- Ability to identify pro-active ways to contribute to firms' goals & mission

- Knowledge of database tools - Bloomberg, Reuters and other financial data systems

Education and Experience

- Graduate/Postgraduate, MBA (Finance) / or a CA; CFA (US)

- Total experience of 3-7 years of relevant credit research experience
