Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) Strategy Associate : The candidate will be a part of Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) Strategy team - The team works closely with top-rated analysts of a leading US-based investment bank and provides market-leading coverage on CMBS/CRE-CLO - The candidate will be required to help the team in analyzing market trends, implementing quantitative analytical models, and identifying investment strategies - The candidate will have to work on multiple projects, client requests, and thematic reports - Typical projects may include tracking rates, indices, prepayment speeds, collateral issuance or mortgage spreads, putting together the infrastructure for capturing crucial data points, writing sections of research periodicals while creating/updating charts and tables, valuing bonds, ideating investment strategies or identifying themes supportive of/contributing to team's investment thesis Skill Set : - Understanding of banking regulations - Strong academic record, quantitative skills, and understanding of financial markets - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency in coding in SQL/VBA/Advanced Excel. - Experience in Bloomberg/Trepp or dealing with large data sets and programming language will be preferred - Detail oriented, with a low tolerance for error - Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines - Strong team player and flexible about working hours - A CFA certification will be an added advantage Education and Experience : - B.Tech/B.E from any Indian Institute of Technology or any other reputed engineering college - 1-3 years of experience in working in projects related to fixed income markets especially in Securitized products (CMBS/RMBS/CDOs/CLOs) and derivatives like swaps and options and basic statistics
