Job Description - Equity Strategy (Sell Side) - Conceptualize and implement research ideas pertaining to sector / country / themes / macro / markets - Analyzing trends in various macro-economic factors and arriving at macro / market recommendations - Build and maintain quantitative models using statistical tools including regression analysis - Analyze various macro drivers to arrive at sector/country allocation strategies - Constantly interact with onshore team in planning and executing tasks - Thematic research using top-down and bottom-up approaches - Build databases for tracking macro indicators and market variables - Build screeners for identifying attractive companies and creating portfolio baskets Experience/skills required : - Equity strategy experience (must have) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - High level of independent thinking and willingness to contribute - Eye for detail and ability to identify and solve issues effectively and on time - Strong macroeconomics, financial markets, basic accounting and statistical knowledge - Advanced Excel, E-views, PPT skills - Knowledge of database tools - Datastream
