Vendor Manager Job Description
Vendor Manager's Primary responsibilities will include -
- Managing full financial P&L for the category/accounts.
- Managing Budget deployment and Revenue for the category
- Candidate should be detail-oriented and adept at negotiating vendor contracts, should be able to multitask effectively as well as demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors.
- Analysing data or insights to formulate product, sales and pricing strategies and align with the vendors regarding the same.
- Implementing vendor selection programs to ensure that the best vendors are Onboarded. Will be responsible for determining customer market needs, growing selection across sub-categories, Optimizing Vendor Trade Terms, and getting support for Marketing campaigns.
- Responsible for Pricing and Demand generation. This includes working with other members of the category management team to come up with innovative promotions and site features to improve customer experience.
- Owning Business metrics and data quality.
Vendor Manager Requirements:
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience, proven experience working as a vendor manager/category manager will be an added advantage.
- Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to think strategically and tactically, with excellent attention to detail.
- Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
