DESIGNATION : Manager/Senior Manager - Merchandising

LOCATION : Delhi

COMPANY: Ethos Limited

REPORTS TO : AVP Merchandising

TOTAL EXPERIENCE : Lateral candidates will have an edge

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE : Experience in merchandising function will be preferred

ATTRIBUTES (Exposure Characteristics) - Data management and Analytical skills, Commercial Acumen, Must possess relationship management skills, Creative Ability, Advanced skills at MS Excel, Awareness of & interest in lifestyle trends

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES - Extremely affluent communication skills, Administrative Capabilities and Team Management Skills, Inventory Management Skills, Understanding of Margins and marking up of prices, Sharp negotiation skills and vendor management skills. Understanding of Stock related Financials, commercials and Costing, Should possess skills on liquidation of Slow Moving Stocks.

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES - Ability to work hands on, Inter-personal effectiveness, Take ownership, Ability to withstand pressure and handle demands of multiple stakeholders, Good follow up and co-ordination skills, Time management skills, Should have pleasant personality and should be well groomed.

MAJOR DELIVERABLES:-

1. DATA MANAGEMENT & ANALYSIS

a. Identify best sellers in terms of their best selling points to ensure that they reach their potentials & identify slow sellers and take action to reduce prices or set promotions.

b. Category and segment Analysis in which the company operates and suggest inclusions and exclusions.

c. Category and Product gap analysis

2. NEGOTIATION

a. Negotiate with representatives of international luxury brands.

b. Represent the company at international fairs.

c. Identify potential brands and negotiate for partnerships with the company.

3. PLANNING

a. Plan Season wise buying to augment sales during the peak periods and controlling stock levels based on forecasts for the season.

b. Merchandise planning, ordering stocks, Replenishment planning & Re-order planning thereby negotiating cost prices, managing the distribution of stock, agreeing timescales and delivery dates, and completing the necessary compliances and paperwork.

c. Liquidation of Non Moving Stocks and track optimization of the Slow Moving Stocks

d. Annual business plan and budgeting

4. INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL LIASONING.

a. Liasoning with key internal departments.

b. Liasoning with external service providers such as clearing agents, couriers, etc.

5. INVENTORY AND WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT.

a. Planning, maintaining and re-ordering for central warehouse

6. COMMERCIAL

a. Understanding statutory aspects including VAT, Customs and other laws impacting the business.

b. Understanding and working to minimize the impact of forex fluctuations
