Product Leader (Tier 1 Colleges only)

Team : Manages a portfolio of Data Monetization Solutions, a Product Development Team, and a team of Solution Owners

Objective : Deliver productized business software Solutions from development to product completion, including identifying product features, conducting market research, generating requirements, determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, development plans and roadmap for product introductions, and developing sales and marketing strategies.

Example Products/Solutions : Comprehensive Cost Management, Technology Portfolio Risk Prediction, Branch Optimization, Sales Network Performance Optimization.

Ideal Candidate :

Total Exp : 12 - 20 Years

- 5 - 6 years Product Management experience in commercial software planning, development, marketing, sales and support; MSC in Computer Science, AI/ML or similar quantitative discipline; must have great cross-functional leadership, relationship management, and communication skills to influence a multi-disciplinary team of business solution leaders, while being able to inspire and lead a geographically distributed Product Development team and Solution Owners

Job Description / Responsibilities:

- Responsible for delivery of productized Solutions from initial plan to final product launch, defining a clear path towards operationalized solutions that deliver measurable value for our customers

- Be on top of the latest technologies, industry trends, competitive analyses, market research, AI/ML, and Business Intelligence solutions in order to create better and differentiated Solutions that deliver benefits and value to our customers

- Gather and translate data from client leaders and deployment teams, articulate solution ideas, define value propositions, feature-function sets, customer needs, deployment challenges, and assess customer requirements and performance issues

- Interact with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and Solution Owners to ensure Solutions are scalable and productized to deliver value to the widest range of customers

- Determine feature sets but be prepared to say - no- to new features suggested by client leaders, developers, business development executives, and clients if those requests will undermine the strategic objectives and market reach of the Solution(s)

- Continually prioritize and weigh competing factors impacting Solution development

- Develop strategic plans / roadmaps, and manage a team of Solution Owners to define and evangelize the value proposition of the suite of Solutions

- Monitor and analyze customers- reaction to our Solutions, as an indicator of successful Solutions Management

Additional elements of the Director's responsibilities include:

- Product vision and plan

- Product requirements and delivery

- Meeting with domain experts, client leaders, and deployment and development teams to ensure each Solution vision is met

- Creating product roadmaps and timelines

- Solution development budget and resource allocation

- Research and analysis of similar products/solutions in the market

- Solution team training and support, including maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing peer networks, and participating in professional societies.

- Solution branding, market positioning, and industry analysts communications

- Participate in revenue projections and pricing models (e.g. Solution as a Service - SaaS models)

- Define and track applicable success metrics

Requisite Skills and Qualifications:

- Product Management, People Management, Understanding the Customer needs Solution domains, Product Development, Requirements Analysis, SW Pricing Models, Solution Selling, Planning and Forecasting, Competitive Analysis, Sales Planning, Strategic Planning

- MSC Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Sciences or other quantitative qualifications
