Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary)

The role holder is responsible for handling the complete gamut of HR, IR and Administration activities at the Unit, handling recruitment, training and development, performance management process, industrial relations and contract labor management. Managing employee grievances and administration function also forms a part of the role. Ensuring adherence to statutory and legal requirements at the unit and managing Union staff (if applicable to the unit) forms an integral part of the role.

Key Result Areas

- Effective implementation of HR Policies and Processes at Unit as per the Corporate guidelines

- Ensure zero loss of production due to non availability of skilled manpower

- Provide efficient and timely HR service delivery to the Unit so as to support organization's development

- Ensure effective and productive work environment

- Provide good administrative facilities at the Unit (HK, transport, canteen, maintenance of assets/ housing premises)

- Compliance to statutory and legal requirements / Industrial Relations

- Contract Labor Management

- Team development

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

Operational Human Resources Services Delivery

1. Implement HR policies and processes at the Unit in line with the direction and framework provided by the Corporate HR

2. Support the Head HR & Unit Heads in preparing manpower budgets by providing relevant information for the Unit

3. Manage and track attendance of all staff members including Contract Labor. Provide the attendance inputs to the Labor contractor for payment to contract staff

4. Provide attendance inputs to Head HR/ Finance team for payroll purpose.

5. carry out Unit level recruitment by preparing/ following up for JDs, conducting candidate search, hosting interviews, making offers, facilitating pre-employment medical checkup, follow up on joining, completing joining formalities and induction of the candidate as per the policy and the guidelines of the Corporate HR ( below HOD Levels)

Employee Relations & Statutory Requirements

6. Ensure that labor laws & regulations are respected and complied with

7. Coordinate recruitment of the labor at the Unit in a timely and proactive manner with the Labor contractor, ensuring zero loss of production

8. Conduct skill building programs for workmen as well as contractual employees, as and when required, in discussion with the various HODs at the Unit

9. facilitate and implement employee welfare activities at the Plant

10. Implement Employee Grievance Redressal mechanism at all Plants

11. liaison with the Unit Head and the HODs for workmen issues and their redressal

Administration Related

12. Oversee smooth functioning of all administration related tasks viz. Security, time office, canteen facilities, house-keeping, administration and overall cleanliness and maintenance of the Unit

13. Negotiate with contractors for provision of cost effective administrative facilities
