ESG Data Analyst - ESG Research & Development Division - BFSI (2-6 yrs)

We currently have an opening with our client located in Bangalore, seeking an ESG Data Analyst for their ESG Research and Development Division.

The ESG Research and Development team is tasked with building quantitative ESG scoring models, constructing and maintaining the ESG data architecture and infrastructure, collaborating with the various investment teams to create innovative sustainable strategies, writing industry-leading thought leadership in the ESG space, and working alongside distribution, sales, strategy and client reporting to provide clients and regulators with the required reports and analytics.

Responsibilities

- Help drive ESG data efforts, with particular focus on negative screening, blacklists, climate investing and integration

- Keep abreast of all enhancements in ESG data, analytics, models and reporting tools

- Perform data due diligence and work with external data vendors to source, onboard and manage the required data, information and analytical and reporting tools to comply with ESG regulations and mandated frameworks

- Onboard and maintain ESG data, create and manage views and tables on the centralized ESG data repository/database, and disseminate/distribute output information to investment teams and other internal users and stakeholders

- Perform analysis, work with vendors and provide detailed and robust answers to clients' questions on ESG data behind regulatory reports

- Assist senior team members in their day to day responsibilities

- The role can expand over the time to incorporate broader responsibilities in the ESG R&D, operations, and strategy teams

Requirements:

- Degree in Computer Science, Finance, or Environmental Engineering.

- 2-4 years of experience as a data analyst or sustainability researcher.

- Proficient in Python, SQL, databases, and data analytics.
