Equity Trading Model Developer and Trader

Job Description

We are seeking Equity Trading Model Developer and Trader to join our India team. Selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the quantitative strategy team of India Markets and will have the opportunity to work with very senior and distinguished members of the industry globally and be responsible for delivering the Alpha generation strategy for the Firm.

Job Responsibility:

- Intraday trading in NSE, BSE, MCX, NCDEX & currency market

- Transaction Cost Analysis, Test Execution, Trading Market Micro Structure

- Research and identify trading strategies and methods leading to greater profit and income for clients.

- Increase computer usage to access data and generate reports using software.

- Evaluate financial risks and decide on trading based on available data.

- Attain thorough knowledge about stock market terms and trading practices.

- Ensure all trading transactions are legitimate and comply with government laws and policies to avoid lawsuits and other penalties.

General Skills:

- Well versed with financial segment

- NISM Certified- X (Level 1, 2 must)

- Knowledge of BARRA Model for Risk

- Knowledge of Tick Data

- Prior experience in working for a trading firm in a similar role

- Presentations skills are needed to communicate research Ideas.

- Strong Coding ability in Python, Matlab, R, SQL etc. is assumed.

- Expertise in financial econometrics is assumed.

- Ability to work with global teams in a collaborative mode

- Proficiency Linux Platforms is a plus

Qualifications:

- Bachelors or master's degree in Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics or Computer Science, Engineering, or Econometrics or in STEM specialties.

- Hedge Fund, Asset Management or Proprietary trading background a plus

- 3+ years relevant experience desirable.
