Equity Trader - Private Equity/Equity Discretionary Trading Desk (1-5 yrs)

Looking forward for a suitable candidate for the position of Equity Trader - Private Equity / Equity Discretionary Trading Desk.

JD:-

Job Purpose

The candidate will be part of a trading team and be responsible for

- Generating and analyzing ideas to be used in discretionary equity trading

- Managing trading positions

- Manage the P/L for the Portfolio and Trade in Indian Markets.

Key Responsibilities

- Candidate will be responsible for leading trading teams and grooming new traders eventually

- Tracking news related to companies/economy and identifying potential trades

- Tracking and maintaining a database of regularly released data (company results, monthly auto sales etc) to generate trade ideas

- Liaising with sell-side analysts to gain indepth knowledge of companies/sectors

- Assisting senior traders with trade analysis and trade management

- Full responsibility for a trading book eventually

Job Requirements

Qualifications

MBA - IIM or other premier institutes OR CA with some capital markets experience

Experience

Relevant work experience of 1-3 years

- Analytical skills, logical thinking

- Basic knowledge of derivatives, fundamental and technical analysis

- Effective communication and collaborative skills

- Meticulous, methodical, inquisitive personality with willingness to stretch, hunger to learn and passion for markets

- Ability to work as a part of a team
