BUY-SIDE SENIOR ANALYST
The role will provide investment recommendations to the Fund Management team based on the fundamental analysis of companies, industry sectors and macroeconomic environments. The role will have the opportunity to analyse various listed and private companies across different geographies including Sri Lanka, USA, Europe, Canada, Japan, Singapore and Australia.
THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Do initiation coverage and regular updates on companies of target sectors assigned by the company (mainly focus on listed equities in developed and APAC markets).
- Present the research findings and recommendations on the assigned companies/sectors to the internal investment committee.
- Monitor industry and market trends for changes and investment opportunities.
- Maintain and update relevant sector databases.
- Attend investor relation calls and have meetings with the management of the assigned companies when necessary.
- Carrying out credit analysis and making recommendations on fixed income investments of the assigned companies
- Collaborate with other team members and share information and insights
BRIEF PROFILE OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Possess 3-5 years of related work experience
- Possess a relevant professional qualification such as CIMA/ACCA/CFA
- Excellent analytical skills and written and verbal communication skills
- Open minded and innovative thinker
