Equity Research Role - Sell Side - BFSI/Financial Sector (1-2 yrs)

Job opportunity for a working professional having at least 1 year of experience as Equity Research Associate for India Financials/BFSI sector with an exposure into Valuation & Financial Modeling.


Location: Pune (Hybrid)


Responsibilities:


- Acquire expertise in your sector working with a Senior Analyst who is a seasoned industry expert


- Build and update company and industry models


- Create and maintain databases using data from different sources


- Work on regular research publications earnings previews, reviews, event updates, flash notes etc.


- Contribute meaningful research ideas for thematic publications


- Carry out sector analysis


- Keep a track of latest developments in the companies under coverage and the sector and incorporate these into the research publications


- Become adept at in-depth analysis of your industry and companies


- Contribute to our highly differentiated written product


- Get an opportunity to travel onsite and work closely with the onshore team and understand/experience the investment decision making process


Requirements:


- Track records of outstanding academic performance, including honors and awards. Academic credentials typically include test scores and grades in the 90th percentile and above


- Candidate will help prepare Financial Statements and Fundamental Databases required for analysis of Indian Financials.


- Candidates with the following qualities are preferred


- ICAI /MBA/CFA background that demonstrate financial statement analysis skills


- 1 to 2 years post graduate work experience in Banking sector


- Knowledge of Hindi preferred


- Knowledge of Python preferred
