Equity Research Associate - Investment Bank - CA/IIM/ISB/FMS/MDI

A leading domestic Investment bank is looking for four (4) Equity Research Associates to cover the following sectors:

Role 1. MidCaps Associate (Textiles, Pipes, Hotels, Specialty Chemicals, Building Material)

Role 2. Internet Associate

Role 3. Pharm and Healthcare Associate

Role 4. Banking Associate

About the Roles:

- This role will cover India Equities and sits within the front office of a leading domestic Indian Investment bank

- You will partner closely with various external clients, internal parties and provide up to date, industry leading research.

- Your core task will involve analyzing data and building models to assist clients from across the sector.

- You'll be able to recognise critical data points, analytical concepts and come to a logical conclusion within the modeling/valuation process.

Main Responsibilities

- Work with India Equity Research team supporting coverage on MidCaps or Internet or Pharma and Healthcare and Banking Sectors

- Provide support to research analyst to analyze companies, emerging industry/macro trends, build financial models and write impactful research reports

- Handle day to day requests from clients, sales and trading teams in a timely manner.

- Organize fact-finding trips and channel-check meetings upon clients' bespoke requests or for investors tours

- Contribute to furthering your franchise as a business by suggesting new approaches or ideas

- Understands firm's approach and policies for managing risks in relevant business and applicable legal and regulatory rules, and follows policies.

Experience :

- Around 2-6 years of working experience in equity research

- Prefer experience (but not required) of working in Mid-Caps or Internet or Pharma and Healthcare and Banking Equity Research

Education

- MBA from Tier 1 Institute and/or CA/CFA qualification

Skills

- Good communication (verbal and written) skills and ability to liaison with clients and corporates

- Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills

- Ability to independently arrange fact-finding trips and channel checks meetings;

- Ability to complete a robust model (base and sensitivity cases) from start to finish with little guidance; mastery of the levers in the model.

- Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of the fundamentals / drivers (competitive landscape, risks) of your industry/product
