Equity Research Analyst - KPO (3-6 yrs)
Roles and responsibilities
Candidate will be working as an equity research analyst (for sell-side or buy-side equity clients) and is expected to manage his/her work independently with end-to-end ownership of client projects. Work types will include-
- Preparing/updating financial models for coverage companies and conducting valuation (using DCF, Relative Valuation, SoTP, etc.)
- Contributing to various reports for coverage sector-earnings notes, investment teasers, initiating coverage notes, sector notes, thematic notes
- Issuing timely updates on company events/sector events/trend-changing events and gauging the impact on valuation/recommendation of stocks
- Maintaining sector-specific databases and periodicals
- Preparing custom financial dashboards and screeners based on appropriate financial and operating metrics
- Supporting the client on ad-hoc research tasks relating to companies, sectors or themes
- Manage client communication independently including one-to-one client communication, contributing to morning meetings and dealing with the sales team of clients
- Should be able to contribute to certain product/process development exercises for the client
- Contribute/work on important pilot projects
- Create IPs/white papers/blogs/articles/teasers which can be used for marketing purposes
Ideal Candidate :
- 4-6 years of experience in financial and/or investment research in a KPO or advisory firm
- Solid experience in financial modelling, forecasting, valuations, writing investment research
- Strong grasp of financial concepts and their applications across equity research
- Suitable understanding of capital markets and macroeconomic trends
- Experience in end-to-end execution of projects and communication with clients
- Knowledge of various databases such as Bloomberg, Thomson Eikon, DataStream, Capital IQ
- Excellent secondary research skills
