Equity Research Analyst - BFSI

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain earnings, valuation and industry models

- Understand business models, key company drivers and company and industry specific competitive advantages.

- Write reports/analyst notes with a company or sector specific focus

- Writing articles on investment-related topics

- Respond to requests for data, information, and calls from internal and external clients

- Talk to clients explaining investment philosophy, buy/sell calls, etc

What are we looking for in a Candidate-

Experience

- 2+ years in Equity Analyst profile

Academics

- Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or Accounting required

- Candidates CFA certification will be preferred. (Or must be willing to do the certification, if selected)

Knowledge & skills

- Superior analytical, reasoning and logical skills are a pre-resquite for the role.
- Thorough knowledge of valuation methods and financial modeling

- Ability to understand business models, key company drivers and company and industry specific competitive advantages.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Any exposure to and Knowledge of Value Investing Principles would be an added advantage.

- Must be a self-starter and a team player.

- Ability to multi-task and be willing to constantly broaden one's knowledge base.

Please note candidates in a pure operations (clearing, settlements, model updation etc.) role will not be considered).
