Job description

The derivatives sales team is a unit specifically targeted at large institutional investors focused on quantitative trading strategies. The client base comprises of domestic & foreign institutions as well as AIFs and Hedge funds.

Derivatives salespersons have a wide scope of operations - business prospecting, account management and customized strategy development based on client requirements. Strategies cover both equities & listed derivatives on Indian exchanges as well as overseas listed instruments. Derivatives salespersons have individual P&L responsibilities.

Key success factors in this role are strong analytical & decision making skills, familiarity with trading high and medium-frequency strategies and exceptional inter-personal skills. Senior salespersons are expected to lead teams and collaborate effectively with other sales teams in the company for deal syndication.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate should possess

- At least 4 years' experience on the sell-side in a similar role or at least 5 years' experience managing capital in high & medium-frequency trading in Indian equities

- Strong client / customer references

- Analytical skills and a degree in finance

Education

- MBA from a top-tier institute, or

- CFA Institute charter holder

- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

- Solid understanding of equity fundamentals
