Role Summary:

The purpose of the position of Business Development team ( individual or lead) is:

1. Expanding AMI and Smart Grid solution offering to utilities

2. Utility Customer Management working before RFP till converting into Order using techno-commerical knowledge.

3. Acting as a 1st level of technical support to customer during sales cycle stage

4. To ensure the positioning of technical solutions according to customer requirements commencing from RFP stage to Implementation.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving bookings and revenue opportunities in India associated with Electric Utilities using Enzens solution in Smart Grid and AMI offering. Shall be able to bridge gap on Enzens portfolio with the external partnership.

- As a member of the Sales team, this person will be a highly networked, experienced industry professional who can expertly develop, close, and manage comprehensive deals while working in a matrixed Sales organization alongside Enterprise and Geographic Sales Directors.

- Build, extend, and manage a diverse network of contacts within utility, key Enzen partners and other industry stakeholders.

- Perform all activities in the sales cycle i.e. generate leads, qualify opportunities, educate customers, quarterback proposal development, and lead sales meetings/presentations.

- Responsible for customer relationship along with Sales/technical team and provide required solution design in the areas of automation, smart grid and related platforms covering-

a) Hardware, Software and system architecture principles across technology.

b) Smart Grid/IOT platforms, Applications and Services Integrations

o) Customers requirements Analysis

- Responsible for driving delivering different solutions in the scope of automation & smart grids

- Build valued relationships with external clients, external partner and internal peers and support development of a portfolio of business

- Good understanding of overall AMI Solution i.e. Meters, communication and control center solution. Shall be able to translate it to business needs and effective outcome

- Building relationships with key stakeholders, both with external and internal to Enzen

- To collaborate with the Supply Chain function to ensure correct suppliers, services and equipment are available to support the execution.

Education

- B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics & Communication

Experience

- 15 to 20 years of experience

- Experience with utilities and OEMs in the Power automation sector (SCADA, AMR, AMI, Smart Grids etc.,) as a part of the Technical and technical sales support team.

- Must have worked as a sales / BD manager architect and part of team or a leader.

Essential Skills

- Significant & Hands-on experience as a business development manager with experience on technical sales support for automation solutions or smart metering and smart grid projects etc.

- Knowledge of the concept of AMI / Smart Grid / Utility Automation or larger electrical EPC projects.

- Must have worked on BD part for automation & smart grid technologies across one or multiple sectors (Water, Electricity, and Gas) and familiarity with technology solutions in the market

- Extensive, proven experience working with projects in the Power and Utility sector, including systems and applications such as:

a) SCADA/DMS

b) Advanced distribution management systems (ADMS),

c) Asset management systems (AMS),

d) Data management and analytics

e) Smart Grid

- A self-starter, comfortable working within large international teams as well as independently; and take initiative to keep up with the latest technology and industry trends to bring the latest insights and thought leadership to the table.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills

- Ability to work under tight timelines for multiple project deliveries

- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally to meet client needs
