Sr manager--for MNC- FMCG company--Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability

WE HAVE A BRILLIANT JOB OPPORTUNITY WITH A HIGHLY REPUTED MNC IN FMCG. Position is based out of Mumbai and is at Senior manager level. The position is in the department of Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability as sr manager EHS

Yrs of experience needed is 8 to 12 yrs --at elast 4 to5 yrs in EHS dept in FMCG or manufacturing company.

Basic purpose of the role

- The Campus EHS&S Sr. Manager will manage a team across a specified geography seeking to optimize EHS&S resource deployment against strategic objectives and across multiple business functions.

Key relationships

- The Campus EHS&S Sr. Manager will routinely interface with multiple internal business stakeholders including Supply Chain, R&D, and Commercial leaders. The role may also interface with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Accountable for successful implementation of EHS services to local Supply Chain, R&D, Commercial customers in support of business objectives; Conducts periodic performance and service satisfaction reviews with Plant Manager, General Manager, and Site leaders.

- Creates value by driving greater efficiency and standardization in the deployment of EHS resources, processes, procedures and programs using a regional construct.

- Accountable for delivery of agreed-to regional EHS/Healthy Future 2015 performance plan.

- Builds and manages a lean, highly competent EHS support team that delivers superior EHS services to all facilities within the campus.

- Defines and coordinates all EHS resource needs within campus while optimizing leverage of SMEs (e.g., IH, environmental, process safety) across Make, Source, Deliver, R&D & commercial locations

- Owns decision rights for intra-campus hiring, staff management, workload distribution.

- Continuously monitors all aspects of Campus EHS performance, providing direction to Site EHS leaders and Site EHS teams.

- Leads and executes administrative activities including Talent Management, Campus Budget Management, Cost allocation, and regulatory tracking processes.

- Provides EHS technical assistance and support as needed across all campus locations.

Qualifications

Education: University/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Science, engineering or related EHS discipline preferred.

Experience: 8-12 years of progressive experience in EHS management, with at least 4-8 years managing EHS programs at a Manufacturing or R&D facility.

- Strong leadership skills a must.

- Strong communicator who is credible and self-assured; strong technical skills with the ability to explain complex issues and requirements in an easily understood manner; ability to negotiate with and influence key business leaders.

- Strong compliance orientation with a focus on end-to-end global/regional process management

- Ability to work in a matrix, team oriented environment.

- Highly developed interpersonal and cross-cultural skills.

Other Requirements

Location of Role: Within geographical area of campus, preferred

Language Requirements: English.

Travel Requirements: Up to 50%
