Enterprise Architect - Application Development - Insurance (11-15 yrs)

- Define, Own and Implement Enterprise Architecture Governance Process to oversee activities to optimize value, cost and risk of Applications in the CIT Application Portfolio. Govern all activities, by engaging Application teams to ensure decisions are made in-line with Strategic objectives and are approved by Application Strategy.

- Manage Architecture Review Board (ARB) to ensure IT initiatives align with Ecosystem Architecture and ultimately line up with IT and Business Goals, Strategies, and Objectives.

- Develop and enhance methodologies for Application Life Cycle management that are aligned with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement.

- Ensure Application processes (including those of external service providers) are following the Architecture and Technology Standards.

- Lead the Strategic Product End of Life (EOL) initiative by interacting with all Application and Infrastructure teams to find solutions that reduce the overall EOL Product Risk to the CIT environment.

- Govern EOL Product Lifecycle by utilizing ServiceNow to extract Product data into QlikView Dashboard to Manage, Review, Track, Report and Facilitate Remediation and Risk Metrics.

- Implemented Product Domain to ensure Product accountability for remediation and the creation of Product Roadmaps.

- Lead a vendor driven $2M Application Rationalization Strategy to identify Business Applications across the organization to determine which Applications should be kept, replaced, retired or consolidated.

- Provide leadership, vision and direction to the Application teams to ensure initiatives will contribute to the company achieving its goals.

- Develop productive relationships with Business Leaders to facilitate and influence the Application Governance Process and gain consensus on a prioritized set of measurable business outcomes.

- Participate in benefits realization, by partnering with the PMO to review business cases to identify technology solutions and outcomes.

- Progressive IT Leadership and Architectural experience with evidence of leading efforts to shape strategic investment portfolios and to scope & architect major programs.

- Experience in standing up and developing an Enterprise Architecture discipline that can scale for a fast growing organization

- Strong experience working with Data technologies (Big Data, Hadoop, Spark, Data Science), Integration technologies (ESB, SOA, iPaaS, REST), Cloud infrastructure (PaaS, SaaS, Ms-Azure, AWS), Web technologies (J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, UI/UX) and Configurable rules based business applications (Drool, JBoss, Appian) etc

- Working knowledge of EA tools, Enterprise Architecture frameworks & industry models (TOGAF, ITIL and BIAN)

- Experience in working with the business and IT in building strategies, frameworks, Standardize models and roadmaps

- Information security experience is a strong plus

- Willing to roll up the sleeves to be hands-on and ability to work independently

- Solid understanding of key program and project management and communications tools, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint

Other Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Math - Advanced degree a plus

- Experience working in insurance or life insurance space is a plus

- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels including C-suite executives.

- Effectively track and close all information security open items and maintain control of technology control's environment.

- Effectively track, remediate and close audit findings relating to cybersecurity.

- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with company groups involved with information security matters (Legal Department, Internal Audit Department, Physical Security Department, Information Technology Department, Risk & Compliance department, etc.)

- Establish, manage, and maintain organizational structures and communications channels with those responsible for information security.

- Conduct organization wide data classification assessment and security audits and manage remediation plans.

- Conduct vendor information security due diligence including implementation of assessment and authorization, continuous minoring and security operations management activities.

- Establish information security baselines, procedures, and guidelines to ensure business processes address information security risk.

- Enhance and manage Incident Response Plans, annual IT Risk Assessments and associated risk mitigation and avoidance functions.

- Develop metrics to measure, monitor, and report on effectiveness of information security controls and compliance with information security policies.

- Perform vulnerability assessments to evaluate effectiveness of existing controls.

- Other duties and responsibilities assigned as required

Responsibilities:

- Work with the Global AML/ATF Issues Management Team to develop standards and enhance the global Issues Management process, including:

- strengthening the Audit validation of regulatory remediation and Audit finding resolution processes

- streamlining Issue status reporting across GBM

- Oversee governance tasks assigned to the Analyst, Program Support, including providing coaching and mentoring.

- Oversee and execute key AML/ATF and OFAC Program governance functions:

- Issues Management

- Ensure all issues are accurately and timely entered into and maintained in the Issues Management Tool for tracking and reporting;

- Maintain the Issues Management Solution and related SharePoint;

- Follow up with issue owners and managers to ensure timely completion of issue action plans and escalate issues at risk on issue status, in accordance with established procedures;

- Prepare management reports, as necessary.

- Regulatory and Audit Exam Management

- Coordinate exam preparation activities and document requests; Coordinate exam-related meetings;

- Review and coordinate responses.

- Oversee and execute Business Management processes:

- Work with relevant US and Head Office stakeholders (e.g. Risk, HR, Finance) to prepare the annual AML/ATF and OFAC budget and staff plan and related materials for senior management and governance committee review and approval.

- Work with relevant functions to execute other business management processes and requirements as needed to support the AML/ATF and OFAC Program, including business continuity planning, records retention management and third party risk management.

- Serve as the Secretary to the U.S. Management Risk Committee

- Provide legal support for Third Party Governance and vendor management efforts, including risk assessment, issue escalation, ongoing monitoring and contract enforcement.

- Manage contract remediation projects, including threshold review of project objectives, scope of vendors involved, retrieval and review of related contracts, business partner interface, vendor negotiations and internal reporting.

- Draft and negotiate a wide variety of technology agreements, including software development, licensing and maintenance agreements, application hosting agreements, outsourcing agreements and hardware leasing and purchase agreements.
