Engineering Manager - Technologies (7-16 yrs)
Responsibilities:
- Managing a direct reporting team (or pods) of 10-12 engineers across the backend, UI, and mobile.
- Owner of architecture, design, and code quality with the involvement of an SDE 3 in the team.
- Working towards improving and keeping the uptime at 99.99%.
- Defining and implementing processes and best practices of software development (for eg. code review, unit tests, CI/CD, etc).
- Close monitoring of backend performance (API TATs, Success rate, etc.) and App performance (Crash rate, Startup time, Jenky frames, ANR, etc.).
- Work with other engineering, data, DevOps & science teams as required.
- Plan sprint and run the scrums for timely delivery of the projects.
Suitable Profile:
Technical expertise required:
- Microservice/Event-driven architecture
- REST APIs
- Structured and unstructured database
- Technologies like elastic search, redis, and load balancer.
- Python, Django
Eligibility:
- Current Engineering Managers or SDMs are preferred.
- Experience in Managing a team of 8+ people for at least 1 year.
- Worked on backend-heavy projects with ownership of architecture.
- 7 yrs of relevant experience in product-based startups is an additional advantage.
- B.Tech / Dual Degree with Computer Science as a major discipline from Top tier college is preferred.
