Engineering Manager - Quality Assurance - IT

Our Client a software engineering giant is looking for their Quality Engineering group a highly motivated, result-oriented Engineering Manager to oversee Quality Assurance of very large-scale, distributed server side applications and platforms.

- The candidate should be a leader with a passion for quality and be able to thrive in a bleeding edge highly agile environment with no blueprints.

Key Qualifications

- Passion for product quality and uncovering hard to find scenarios and bugs.

- Experience in setting up and managing engineering QA teams

- Experience in QA for highly scalable, distributed and high performance platforms.

- Experience in functional and performance testing.

- Excellent knowledge of QA automation methodologies, processes, and tools.

- Experience in developing test plans, test cases and performing testing

- Familiar with technologies like Java, SQL, Scala, Databases, NoSQL, Web Services (Rest & SOAP).

- Familiar with using unix tools to measure system and performance metrics.

Description

- Define and Drive the QA vision for end to end functional and performance testing for key platforms and applications

- Recruit, train, and setup an Engineering Quality Assurance team.

- Manage, coach and mentor quality assurance engineers

- Oversee communication and co-ordination with international teams

- Work closely with cross-functional organizations, project teams and clients to develop project schedules, execute test plans and cases, and deliver high quality products

- Enhance Quality Assurance processes, environments, tools and frameworks

- Act as a strong advocate for quality in the product development process for software engineering

Education

- Masters or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of relevant managerial experience.
