Engineering Manager - Product Development (15-20 yrs)

Position : Engineering Manager

Experience : 15-20 years

Location : Chennai, IN

Reporting to : Head of Product Development

- Key Responsibilities:

- Passionate about building great products, innovation and solving complex customer problems.

- Understand existing products, technology and create roadmap for further enhancement, adding new features as per client's requirement

- Evaluate technology choices and implementation options

- Work with multiple teams helping them develop and refine their ability to do all these things as well; and get as much satisfaction out of their success as from your own

- Managed a team of minimum 20-30 developers & testers

- Supervise reporting responsibility for independent software contractors, software engineers and outsourcing partners.

- Make clear, data-driven decisions, to ensure peak performance of your team, and act upon them

- Embrace product software development and live it every day

- Embrace continuous integration, delivery and improvement

- Embrace high quality in everything you touch

- Required Skills and Experience:

- Should have had more than 15 years software development experience

- Extensive knowledge in design, coding and deployment of high performing Web applications

- Well versed with Microsoft Technology stack i.e. .Net, Azure cloud platform

- Must have experience in working (preferably design/architecture) in enterprise level distributed system

- Demonstrated experience identifying, implementing, and measuring team processes to improve quality, efficiency, and timeliness.

- Strong experience in software product development and associated best practices

- Exposure to modern UI technologies such as angular or React based UIs

- Demonstrated history of staying current on best practices in technology

- Recruit, build and retain a high performing team

- Has managed team of minimum 30+ developers & testers

- Ability to deep dive into problems in your team and resolve the root causes

- Take pride in your work and own it


- Cloud, hybrid-cloud or cloud infrastructure experience

- Experience with transformation of team to Agile Development Practices, particularly Scrum, a plus

- Valid Microsoft Certifications for .NET technologies, a plus
