The opportunity :

We are hiring a rock-star Engineering Manager in the Adobe Digital Learning group. The opportunity is about leading an interesting project - Re-imagining Adobe Captivate, the most awarded Rapid e-learning authoring application! We are now faced with the exciting challenge of re-architecting the product from the ground up to suit new-gen user workflows and to make Captivate the most productive solution in the world. You will join a robust agile team that collaborates and works across all functions of true product development. You must be that individual who is highly engaged, motivated, and excels at critical thinking and leading the team!

What you'll do ?

- Lead half of the Captivate engineering team of about 10-12 developers.

- Responsible for the architecture, technical design, vision, and implementation strategy

- Get the product plans executed and own the delivery commitments

- Develop and evolve engineering processes to optimize team efficiency and product quality

- Mentor and guide a high performing team

- Collaborate closely with product management, design, consultants, customers, and cross-functional teams to keep the development team aligned with product goals

- Define clear team quarterly and yearly goals and guide with the execution

- Review and provide feedback on features, technology, architecture, design, and creative problem solving

- Take the deal in defining team culture and product vision.

What you need to succeed ?

- 8-12 years of hands-on experience in the product development

- 3+ years of experience as an engineering leader

- Strong management and leadership skills

- Hands-on experience in designing and developing cross-platform applications.

- Working knowledge of React /Angular/ Vue or similar modern JS frameworks.

- Experience in working on C++ applications

- Have experience in hiring and mentoring great talent

- Track record of focus on automation and engineering process improvements

- Highly motivated, works well in a fast-paced collaborative team environment

- Passionate about solving interesting problems for customers - ready to explore new grounds in technology

- Bias for action with a keen eye for detail. Be data-driven
