Engineering Manager - Fullstack (8-12 yrs)

Roles and Responsibilities

- Own the overall solution design and implementation for products. This includes requirement analysis, scope discussion, design, architecture, implementation, delivery and resolving production issues related to engineering

- Owner of technical roadmap of products both from front end and back-end perspective.

- Ability to guide the team in debugging production issues and write best-of-the breed code

- Drive engineering excellence (defects, productivity through automation, performance of products etc) through clearly defined metrics.

- Stay current with the latest tools, technology ideas and methodologies, share knowledge by clearly articulating results and ideas to key decision makers

- Hiring, mentoring and retaining a very talented team.

Requirements

- 10+ years of strong experience in full-stack software product development, with at least 3+ years in engineering leadership positions.

- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent from premier institutes.

- Experience in developing highly scalable, Analytics and SaaS products.

- Experience in Java, Web Services, RDBMS, NOSQL and Big Data technologies.

- Must be hands-on to dive into any level of technical details and write code if required.

- Strong project management & execution skills across teams located in different geographies.

- Excellent people manager. Strong in building relationships and collaborating with others.

- Demonstrated ability of attracting, recruiting and leading high quality technology teams.

- Experience with JavaScript based frameworks.

- Ability to write clean code, think logically and solve problems

- Full stack understanding of web/API/database development concepts and patterns

- Strong in problem solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to influence decision making through data and be metric driven

- Strong communication skills, enabling meaningful and effective exchange between technical and non-technical stakeholders on multiple levels of organizational structure.

- Positive, self-motivated and quick learner.

- Ability to deliver quickly in a fast paced start-up environment.

- Knowledge of AWS would be a plus.

- Prior Start-up experience would be plus.
