- Lead and manage agile teams of data engineers and developers, data analysts, architects to build, deliver, and support strategic commercial initiatives at scale.
- Responsible for engineering of enterprise data platforms, enabling value-driven business use cases and deep analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage scrum teams of 2-5 development teams leading technical execution and delivery of new initiatives
- Ensure that technical solutions are in line with company standards with respect to architecture, security, compliance, testing and product direction
- Implement industry best practices and tools to continually improve teams' ability to deliver and maintain solutions
- Attract, Mentor, guide, coach, coordinate training opportunities and support individual growth of direct reports
- Manage data with Customer/ Products/ Vendor Data for MDM perspective- Preferred
- Data Engineering/ Data Governance project background - Preferred
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information science or related field, or equivalent work required
- Graduate degree in computer science, data science, information science or related field, or equivalent work preferred
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
- 10 years' experience building and supporting large scale and highly available technology solutions and directly managing or leading a team(s) of data engineers and developers.
- Experience in retail industry preferred
- Working within an Agile development environment preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:
- Able to manage development team to deliverables: on time, scope and on budget
- Experience working with distributed teams
- Experience in data analysis, solution design and Gap analysis
- Experience working with onshore and offshore team as well as with external vendor teams.
- Able to present complex technical concepts to business partners and senior management
- Hands-on experience in ETL/BI/DB analysis using SQL Server, Informatica, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle DRM and Teradata
- Experience with establishing SDLC and Data Engineering best practices
- Experience with leading fine tuning, scaling, monitoring and alerting initiatives.
- Deep understanding of creating and integrating REST-based web services
- Proficiency with source control and release technologies (e.g., Git and Azure DevOps) and practices (e.g., CI/CD and automation)
- Good soft skills; able to work with business partners to understand the requirements, demonstrate solutions to business partners, gain commitment from business partners on their engagement/deliverables
- Cross-Functional internal team exposure ; has worked previously with Product, Design, QA and Delivery leads
- Can help onboard and provide support to developers as they learn in their careers
- Experience leading Agile/Scrum development teams
- Consulting organization from retail-based projects can be considered
