Role - Engagement Manager, Business Consulting

- Our client has a strong expertise in consumer goods, services and industrial sectors. Over the past years, they have advised top management on key strategic issues including market entry, growth, M&A, route-to-market, product innovation, pricing, marketing, organization and strategic execution.
Roles and responsibilities:
Engagement Manager is responsible for project delivery ( on-time & quality) as well as supporting commercial development. He is expected to establish durable relationship with client's senior and middle management.
- Project Management: Project planning and budgeting, development of analytical constructs and innovative methodologies, defining deliverable content, controlling delivery quality and timeline, helping in resource allocation decisions, conducting presentations, managing account receivables, managing relationships with mid/senior management at the client
- Business Development: Participating and leading aspects of opportunity identification, proposal development, nurturing existing relationships
- People Development: Performing the role of coach for junior consultants, participates in recruitment and retention activities
Expected skills:
- Robust problem solving skills and ability to lead the team and client in problem identification and structuring
- Brainstorms on issues with client, probes deep on issues, Structure and prepares entire and well-structured documents, Makes strong impression in all oral communications
- Team leadership and team management - Balances priorities well, ensures work on track, continually searches for opportunities to provide additional value, actively coaches and develops team members to produce superior end products
- High energy/ motivation, continually drives self, client and team to exceed expectations
Reports to: Partner
Direct reports: 3 consultants (1 to 2 teams at a time)
Education: Post-graduate level, Top Indian MBA or International MBA is a must.
Experience: 6 to 10 years in consulting industry. Should be working in one of the reputed consulting firms at Manager Level with proven experience of managing team and project delivery.
