Engagement Manager - Advanced Analytics CoE - Pharma (10-15 yrs)

Position Purpose:

- The position is for an Engagement Manager in the Advanced Analytics CoE, which is a team of experts that work on data science and advanced analytics projects

- The candidate is expected to manage the analytical team and multiple advanced analytical projects to address business problems in a highly competitive environment

- With the understanding of mathematical/statistical/econometric models provide innovative solutions to solve complex business problems and manage stakeholders/clients with minimal support from the team

Roles and Accountabilities:

Delivery and client management

- Must have a good understanding of pharmaceutical commercial dynamics, as well as demonstrated experience interfacing with technical and non-technical teams

- Direct the team to work on ad-hoc analytical projects with available tools and data, and execute projects when required

- Collaborate with internal clients & data team and actively suggest ways to meet deadlines in a very resource constraint environment

- Ability to communicate complex analytical methodologies & findings to stakeholders in simple business language

Subject matter expertise

- Project delivery using analytical techniques like regression (linear & logistic), decision trees, heuristic algorithms, neural networks, linear programming and others for solving business problems like marketing/promotional mix, custom segmentation, access analytics and resource optimization

- Manage or execute modeling (mathematical / statistical / econometrical as per requirement) projects end-to-end independently or with team and present the analysis findings in PowerPoint deck with good articulation of research findings

Innovation and Process Improvements

- Develop documentation related to SOP, checklists for different analytical projects being delivered, which are repetitive in nature

- Inclination to streamline and set-up analytical processes and solutions applicable for multiple geographies

- Lead and participate on developing new analytical methodologies for providing better solutions to clients

Contribute to team growth

- Train the team on analytical methodologies, tools and pharma datasets

- Work with client and onshore colleagues to understand and anticipate current and future project requirements and develop the required skillsets

Education, Skills, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

Education:

- Postgraduate or Doctorate in quantitative sciences (Masters or Doctorate in Economics / Econometrics / Statistics / Operations Research / Mathematics / Data Mining / Agricultural Economics etc)

Experience:

- 10+ years of pharma industry experience in predictive analytics (Promotional ROI, Promomix, resource optimization, Targeting & segmentation, Territory Alignment, etc.)

- Must have managed team in the past

- Must have working knowledge on Pharma datasets

- Good Analytical project management experience covering project scoping, planning, effort estimation, tracking, execution, escalation management etc.
