Must be working in Bank JOB DESCRIPTION : Job Purpose : - Identify compliance deficiencies. - Assist the business with regulatory requirements & ensure adherence. - Assist CCO in developing bank-wide Compliance, KYC and AML strategy. - Submit valid CTR, NPR, Cross Border Reprt & STR's to Regulator - Provide training & awareness. - Effectively manage internal stakeholder (business units) relationships. Main Tasks and Responsibilities : Principal Accountabilities : Main Tasks : - Anti-Money Laundering & KYC - Ensure full regulatory compliance across all relevant areas of responsibility. - Reviewing and updating policy and procedures to accommodate regulatory changes and ensure staff compliance therewith. - Implementation where appropriate of international best compliance practices and standards. - Periodic review of disposed suspicious cases generated by the systems and cases raised from the business. - Deciding on whether there's valid justification of suspicion to report cases to the Regulator, after discussing with the CCO. - Providing guidance on what further action should be taken after an STR has been prepared and forwarded to the Regulator - Periodic reviews of customer accounts and opening documentation for irregularities or anomalies related to AML & KYC. Safeguarding the bank from potential losses and risks that relate to Compliance including AML : - Ensuring review and investigation of all breaches, discrepancies and irregular activities cases are conducted and corrective actions are recommended in a timely and professional manner. - Actively participating in establishing & maintinaing sanction list - Responsible for ensuring the proper management of internal STR's and the reporting where necessary of external STR's to the Regulator. - Reporting of money-laundering cases & suspicious cases submission to the HCM Compliance & implementation of Compliance Policies and Procedures : - Reviewing new regulations and working with the business to ensure compliance, while taking appropriate actions to ensure the business complies with new and/or amended regulations, through development of policies & business procedures, consistent with regulatory & business standards. - Drafting & updating compliance policies and procedures. - Assisting the business and providing advice and consultation on regulatory requirements. - Ensuring that all business groups are aware of domestic and international regulations - Identifying compliance deficiencies, along with corrective action plan. - Managing external correspondance & messages (e.g. Regultor instructions, Correspondent Banks queries and AML questionnaires etc). - Meeting all regulatory reporting requirements and record keeping. - Providing training as well as developing training materials (AML, KYC & Compliance related) & have the same circulated to enhance general AML & Compliance awareness & culture within the business.
