Get to know the Role :

- As an Engineering Lead, you put - Embibe before self- and make thought-through decisions in the organization's best interest.

- You drive your teams forward by being objective and supportive, as well as raising the bar continuously by striving for the great delivery and code quality.

- You will be growing your teams by thoughtful planning, strategic decision making and using your eye for talent to hire the best engineers and engineering managers.

- You hold accountability for your respective team(s) and product(s).

- You develop your teams by promoting intellectual rigor, identifying skill gaps and providing training where required.

- You manage and execute against projects and delivery commitments, and develop our mobile strategy and roadmap.

- You manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment.

- You collaborate with the business and product teams to achieve Embibe's goals and growth. If you don- t see others- problems as your problem, you will not thrive here.

The must haves :

- 12+ years of relevant experience in software product engineering and strategy, preferably working in cloud computing, internet, SaaS and/or eCommerce.

- Experience working for a start-up or scale-up is preferred.8+ years of experience leading large teams of engineers and driving large-scale projects and products, in collaboration with product, design and commercial teams, to succeed.

- Your experience in the back-end, architecture and infrastructure, web services

- You have very strong business acumen and are therefore driven to and deliver an optimal user experience.

- A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or have a similar experience.

- Have a track record of designing, developing and implementing complex, low-latency, and preferably transaction-based/B2C, mobile applications and/or web services with over one million users.

- Strong communication skills and can act as an advisor, coach, mentor, and partner all at the same time.

Business and strategic responsibility :

- Responsible for formulating and implementing the strategy

- Meeting Business Plan targets: Value Capture, Deployment, Profitability & Budget management

- Scout for business opportunities in the areas of engineering tools, application lifecycle management

- Strategic engagement with all Regions to Build & Enhance Cooperation

- Develop the next line of Leadership (Business, Project and technical)

- Preparing area for future scenarios and opportunities

Operative :

- Drive Customer Satisfaction through Delivery within Cost, Schedule & expected quality

- Key inputs to Business Review Meetings; tracking through MIS reports, MSRs, etc

- Focus on Total Cost to Customer and bring about improvement in the same

- Associate engagement: deployment of various career path and associate related initiatives

- Responsible for driving strategic initiatives like Productivity, Automation, Outsourcing, & Location in order to be competitive
