- Understands Modern Trade channel sales strategy, prepares sales plans and activation calendars to drive volume, value, market share and activations in the assigned territory/area. - Leads the SAMT (stand alone modern trade) and regional chain planning and finalizes the right product mix to be delivered to the Key Accounts based on their requirement generated after listing and de-listing of the products. - Plans and executes brand activation / channel activations at store level and firms up sales development plan to drive month and quarter priorities of the channel/area. - Manages order generation through customers and order execution, led by field team, and in co-ordination with supply chain and KAM. - Maintains long term, mutually beneficial relationships with the key customers at the assigned territory and manages Joint Business Plan and terms of trade with the customers. - Works along with the Supply Chain team to track orders, troubleshoot issues, and improve service level, ensuring fill rates and stock build-ups at the customer end while maintaining master hygiene. - Acts as a single point contact for the customers, resolves customer complaints within his authority and escalate complains in case it needs attention. - Reviews overall performance of the customer accounts on key metrics and monitors category-wise growth of the products with focus on promotion and up-selling of slow moving products. - Improves display of the organizational products at the customer points as per the planograms defined to increase visibility of the profitable products thereby increasing the organizational profitability. - Supports execution of merchandising KPIs e.g. attendance, beat adherence, share of shelf (SOS), availability, promo execution, asset execution & management w.r.t to modern trade. - Manages the merchandising agency and team, trains them to deliver differentiated and innovative displays in the store and maintains engagement to ensure high retention amongst merchandiser & promoters. - Ensures implementation of robust plan to roll out GTM (go to market) strategy, superlative execution in terms of distribution and basic field efficiencies. - Monitors brand level distribution, range selling (unique lines) and distribution, FoB (frequency of billing), TLSD, SAMT. - Drives growths & TLSD (Total lines sold per day), focuses on brands availability and in-store execution (promo, visibility elements, activation KPIs) and maintains secondary fill rate. - Develops understanding and successfully roll out pilots and projects to improve key systems and processes associated with distribution. - Works closely with KAM, Supply chain to understand the channel priorities on new launches/ channel specific plan and drives new launch initiatives such that the products are available at the customer point. - Motivates and guides team across on key aspects of the function for performance improvement and efficient service delivery.
