Ellis PC - Senior Manager - Taxation

As a part of our strategic plan, we are hiring a part-time, Senior Manager - US Tax to be a key asset in the quality control process in our rapidly growing firm.

Roles and responsibilities:

- Review tax working papers and US Individual and entity tax returns prepared by staff

- Assist with preparation/analysis of complex issues and tax returns

- Assist with Individual and Entity tax return compliance (including projections for U.S. federal, state and Non-US tax matters)

- Manage workload to meet various deadlines

- Advise teams and be responsible for delivering high-quality tax service and advice

- Suggest and communicate options to the engagement teams and execute recommend options to ensure workload is evenly distributed to professionals

- Develop your technical skills and knowledge of our clients' businesses

- Managing busy seasons, periods of intense high-volume workloads

- Advising clients on a variety of tax issues including accounting for income taxes, FTA (periods, methods & credits), tax provisions, tax compliance, business restructuring, and tax controversy

- Managing engagement workflow, engagement team resources

- Work on BD opportunities and initiatives for attracting new clientele to the firm

Qualifications Required:

- At least 8-12 years of experience preparing and reviewing United States Individual and/ or Entity Income Tax Returns

- Detailed knowledge of United States tax laws

- US CPAs/ EAs are preferred

- Display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Great attitude and personal responsibility behaviour is a definite plus

- Ability to work with tight deadlines
