Eko started in September of 2007. Over the last 13 yrs., Eko has evolved as a platform for the gig entrepreneur to give her access to earning opportunities and business tools to help her run and scale her enterprise efficiently and meet her economic goals. Eko caters to over 300k such entrepreneurs and has got close to 200 brands on the - opportunities- side of the platform. These brands include Banks, Insurance companies, Mobile network operators, electricity and gas utilities, education, entertainment and gaming service providers. Just last financial year these entrepreneurs sold the services from these brands to 20 million gig economy workers, also being referred to as customers, with the services cumulatively valued at Rs 25000 crore. Eko wants to extend various kinds of loans to these entrepreneurs on the - tools- side of the platform. This will help Eko improve her profitability, ensure continued relevance with the platform participants and make us attractive to investors to infuse capital to further scale the participants and the offerings on the platform. Team - Eko has a svelte and high productivity team. We are just short of 50 high performing team members. - The team operates out of Gurgaon and is currently working from a rented office in a green building amongst the concrete. - During the lockdown, Eko has begun the journey to implement OKR and Agile methodologies across the enterprise to drive transparency and efficiency. While we do miss each other's physical presence, these methodologies are ensuring that we keep delivering for Eko and her partners with as much speed and efficiency. Vision: Typical persona for a gig entrepreneur is, - Non-salaried, is an entrepreneur, earns multiple times in a month - Needs tools to increase her/his business for e.g.: digital payment acceptance methods, ability to pay their GST, ability to send marketing messages to their customers etc. - Provides cash-out/ cash-in services to gig economy workers - Provides other digital products like insurance, bill payments, mobile gaming, entertainment to gig economy workers - For e.g.: retailers of different kinds of grocery, pharmacy, telecom shops etc. Pre-Covid, Eko had a team who were allocated different territories across the country wherein they KRAs were to drive the following key results: - Generate leads for gig entrepreneurs who would sign-up with Eko - Convert leads into signed up entrepreneurs on our platform - Train them on how to use our platform to scale their business - Maintain relationship with gig entrepreneurs to ensure retention on our platform and continuous training of new products &amp; services During lockdown &amp; thereafter, Eko has decided to not go back on the above process. Nowadays, Eko is generating leads for gig entrepreneurs through Google, Facebook &amp; other digital mediums. Eko is in the process of implementing Zoho across the organization thereby automating and digitizing the entire process for acquisition and retention of gig entrepreneurs. We are looking to setup a Marketing function whose responsibilities will be across acquisition and retention of gig entrepreneurs on Eko's platform. OKRs for the 1st 6 months Objectives - Devise strategies to result in the growth of the existing business by improving new lead conversions and retention of existing customer base - Identify and execute partnerships and co-marketing opportunities with other brands to augment revenue growth. Key results - Improving lead conversion - Increase the retention rate of customers - Identify strategic partnerships which shall increase the revenue growth Roles &amp; Responsibilities - Design marketing plan for acquisition &amp; retention of merchants on our product &amp; services. - Lead/ funnel management for acquisition &amp; retention of merchants on our product &amp; services. - Identify the product/ services to Eko's portfolio for merchants/ customers to gain a competitive advantage. - Focus on understanding the market and market needs, but with an emphasis on understanding the buyer of the company's products and services - Utilize knowledge of the market, product, product strategy, and competition to enable product growth - Craft strategies for marketing including digital, advertising, creative, communication, competitive differentiation etc. - Design branding, positioning, pricing, go-to-market strategy - Understanding conversion rate optimization principles and hacks and being able to apply the hacks to any revenue lines. - Monitor competition (acquisitions, pricing changes and new products and features) - Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material) - Analyze consumer behaviour and determine customer personas - Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share. - Manage the P&amp;L and ensure revenues, as well as cost budgets, are aligned with overall business strategy Education qualifications, skills &amp; experience Education qualifications: MBA/PGDM from IIM A, B, C or any Tier-1 B-School Skills: Strong business acumen, Strong leadership skills, Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation skills, excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
