Eka.care is a PHR app that helps users to store medical records & monitor health vitals. Eka care was founded in Nov20 and has raised $15.0 Mn as part of their Series A funding in May22. We are looking for a strategic and experienced Associate Director of Finance to join our team and drive financial excellence as we scale our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives and long term vision.
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations, drive revenue growth and oversee financial management.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Design optimal business structuring from a legal and financial standpoint that best suits organisational interests.
Financial Operations Management:
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and taxation.
- Ownership of P&L and drive various cost reduction measures.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with Indian GAAP/IFRS.
- Implement robust financial controls and processes to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Oversee internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Implement and monitor compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Responsible for Legal, Secretarial and Compliance function.
Operational Efficiency and Cost Management:
- Monitor cash flow and burn and manage treasury operations including investments.
- Drive cost optimisation initiatives and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Monitor operational performance and implement strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Oversee procurement and vendor management to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of
goods and services.
- Drive automation and leverage technology to enable business.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for finance team members.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance, or equivalent advanced degree.
- 7-9 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and business partnering skills.
- Proven track record of successfully leading financial strategies and operations.
- Strong knowledge of Indian financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Managing investor relations is a plus.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
