EHS Manager - Automobile/Chemicals/Fertilizers (13-22 yrs)
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements improvement plans and contributes to the development of policies, procedures and guidelines at site for the EHS discipline in line with business needs that supports the site/regional EHS strategic goals.
- Position is responsible for providing leadership and ensuring that the business unit is following the high EHS standards with the focus on continual improvement.
- Drives EHS Management system and compliance standards, directives and assigns responsibilities.
- Develops, implements and monitors programs to ensure that the site meets regional EHS performance goals.
- Delivers continuous and sustainable improvements in EHS performance across site.
- Ensures legal compliance requirements and industry standards at site.
- Measures and records EHS statistics in line with firm and legislative requirements giving clear insights into trends and identifies subsequent actions to improve EHS performance.
- Manages the audit of EHS practices, procedures, and programs, to assure compliance with org standards, regulatory requirements, and acceptable work practices at site.
- Ensures that there is effective EHS training and development in place for employees within the site.
- Leads change acting as a personal advisor to business leaders on EHS and as an influential peer of senior site personnel.
- Initiates, formulates and implements new processes and procedures for the EHS discipline, and contributes to policy development.
