Deputy General Manager

EdTerra Edventures Private Limited is India's largest student education travel company. Students from India's top schools travel with us. In the last five years, we have added to the realm of travel a strong Educational Technology capability. We have a track record of over 12 years of delivering media-led learning and delivering 21st Century Skills to the K-12 school students in India. With our newfound technological thrust we are currently gearing up for rapid growth.

Job brief:

- We are looking for an experienced regional manager to oversee our business operations in Bangalore and the South. The regional manager will be responsible for leading and managing daily operations to achieve business goals and maximize profitability. As a regional manager, your duties also include guiding management staff in your region, setting performance objectives, evaluating and optimizing operational performance, ensuring regulatory and company standards are upheld, and preparing operations and financial reports.

- This is a P&L based business development role. We are looking for a high performing business leader with more than 10 years of experience in B2B or institutional sales professional and an entrepreneurial mindset. The candidate would be required to understand the student education travel business with a view to manage, strategise, and implement sales generation and sales management initiatives while always aligning them with EdTerra's business goals.

- Our ideal candidates should have a solid foundation of profitability reporting, team management, B2B sales processes, pipeline management from previous corporate experience. You will communicate with the CEO, MD to create and implement your regional business strategy.


- Achieving business goals and revenue targets acquiring with the premium K12 schools.

- Overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, and setting performance objectives.

- Recruiting, training, and supporting general managers as well as conducting regular performance appraisals.

- Developing and implementing business, marketing, and advertising plans.

- Managing internal and external stakeholder relations and negotiating contracts.

- Planning, evaluating, and optimising operations to be efficient and cost-effective.

- Ensuring products and services comply with regulatory and quality standards.

- Ensuring company standards and procedures are followed.

- Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, analyses, and reports of operations and finances.

- Dealing with escalated customer issues, incident reports, and legal actions.

Regional Manager Requirements:

- Bachelor's/PG degree in business administration, management, or a similar field preferred.

- 3+ years of management and leadership experience.

- 7+ years of B2B sales management experience. School selling background would be an advantage.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with CRM systems, and project management tools.

- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- The selected candidate must ideally be from the city pertaining to the role

- The selected candidate must be willing to travel using their own means of transportation and using their own device for non-Delhi locations


- There will be a short preliminary interview with the HR Manager

- The final interview will be with the line manager

Remuneration: An offer will be made directly to the shortlisted candidates based on the caliber and experience level.

Work Timings:

- 8.30 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday and 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays.

- Office remains closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays and on Sundays every month.
