Who we are?

At Edge, we believe simplifying employee data will help large corporates solve sub-optimal talent management problems. This data is more critical after the pandemic, as managing a remote workforce has shifted from optional to essential.

We have spent our last eight years understanding the workforce from the IT and BFSI industries. We have used this employee data to create a sophisticated intelligence. This brain behind our AI-based products is called EdGE graph- . We have used 11 million job descriptions and more than 30 million profiles to build the graph.

Our products like Pathfinder, Recruit and Mobility are deployed in IT companies like Wipro, HCL, UST Global, etc. and help them upskill, invest, and maintain their existing people. It has helped organisations improve their workforce availability, billing, allocations and drive straight bottom-line impacts. The new order of talent decisions helps us define, identify, and plan for a future-ready workforce.

We build end-to-end talent management products for organisations so that they have a 360-degree view of their talent supply chain. This helps them make informed talent decisions efficiently and build an intelligent workforce.

We built Edge Networks in 2012 in an apartment in Bangalore and soon, were supported by the National Skill Development Corporation of India (NSDC). We are a part of the NASSCOM Product Council and have been recognized by Gartner, Deloitte, Equidam, NVIDIA, Amazon as an innovative tech HR startup in various titles.

Role : Technical Manager

Experienced Technical Manager to develop products on the EDGE platform on cloud. You will have experience in relating the business case of the organization to product engineering. You will lead a team of engineers with FrontEnd, Backend and QA, to develop the product according to the requirements. You will have demonstrated skill on how to translate a user story requirement to detailed engineering requirements. You will be working on Agile-LeanStartup methodology for product development and hence would have experience in rolling out successful products to the market

Responsibilities :

- You will be responsible product engineering of the various EDGE products on the cloud platform

- You will have to optimize the cloud architecture to the overall product architecture, to offer clear separation of concerns for easy classification of services, to keep a loosely coupled architecture.

- You need an expert understanding to decide on Cloud Security, the associated standards, the industry challenges, and the way forward

- You need expertise in architecting for ML based products and make decisions related to problem statements to decide on where the solutioning is done best - at the DS layer or the Application layer.

- You will need to manage multiple product development teams by effectively working with the Team Leads and the engineers

Role Skills :

- 8-10 years of Engineering handson experience, with at 2-3 years as a manager responsible for engineering the complete product (fullstack and QA)

- Has been the architect or part of an architecture team with clearly defined responsibilities and outcomes - on a non-cloud and cloud platform

- Has spent significant part of their career building cloud based and other software products or solutions

- Good understanding across the stack. (i.e Frontend( React.js,Angular.js or Vue.js), Backend( Python), DevOps, AI/ML, Testing, etc)

- Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL persistent storages / DBs as well as Elastic Search

- Overall system level understanding of product architecture connecting business to architecture

- Ability to adapt to the context of a startup

- Engineering management experience in Enterprise SaaS/Cloud based Full stack product development for B2B or B2C domains, for multiple clients, managing a team that consists of System Engineers / Business Analysts, Architects, Senior Software Engineers

- Experienced in leading Engineering teams rooted on Agile methodology with expertise in Agile Requirements, Estimations, Sprint Planning and tracking, Risk Management.

- Experience in leading high performance teams in software product development, establishing footprints in the market place.

- Have managed multiple product engineering teams in a portfolio, following a Product Life Cycle Management process.

- Strong experience in interaction with Product Management, Sales Teams, and Customers

- Good communicator. (i.e. clear and succinct messaging)

- Has experience grooming high performers who have subsequently established their mark in the industry

- Experience in scaling up the organisation by growing people internally and hiring externally to handle the growing demands of the organisation

- Experience in being a technology leader to the product development team, in giving technical guidance as well as catering to individual aspirations of team members
