Basic Information : Position Title : Jr. Associate / Risk Analyst Location : Mumbai Position reporting to : Senior Manager Job Purpose : About the Team: Global Risk Group (GRG) is an enterprise-level risk team, catering to Principal and Agency businesses. Global risk team acts as a second level of defense in terms of the risk management on top of various business risk groups. This role is within the Market risk team of the GRG-Principal LOB: Incumbent will : - Be responsible for the risk assessment of new products and risk approval of new issuances, buybacks for the Structured products team - Understand and publish monthly risk reports for Structured products - Have to have a good understanding of the different products being traded by the prop desk and perform risk assessment of new products and strategies - Be responsible for the logic definition, validation and tracking of Risk engines (New/Existing) which would require interaction with Business and Tech BAs - Understand and monitor the risk reports for the prop trading desk - Be responsible for maintaining the centralized product approval system and working with the development teams for implementing new features Key Responsibilities : Functional Responsibilities:&nbsp; - Financial risk management of structured products desk and prop trading - Development and enhancement of risk monitoring tools and models - Publishing and monitoring of risk reports Job Requirements : Qualifications : An Engineer from any discipline from tier-1/2/3 with experience not more than 2 years Experience : 0-2 years Functional Competencies : - Strong Quantitative and Logical reasoning skills - Preliminary knowledge of financial/derivative products - Understanding of/prior experience in financial risk/structuring will be preferred - Statistical Tools Knowledge Required : Basic &amp; Advanced Excel, VBA Macros Preferred : R, Python, SAS Behavioral Competencies : 1. Should be process oriented and structured in thinking 2. Quick learner with a bent towards problem solving 3. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly 4. Self-motivated and proactive 5. Good interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
