Executive Director – Online Product Engineering

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, goal-oriented leader who will be responsible for defining the architecture and building complex software solutions to meet the needs of our business and our customers. They will also be an excellent team player who can lead a complex project portfolio in a global organization with distributed teams and stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities

- Provide technological and strategic leadership in the development of eCommerce architecture, solutions, systems, processes and procedures for a proprietary, best-of-breed, platform that enables online vision for all online properties, including consumer, commercial, mobile and social.

- Provide the overall strategic and architectural vision, direction and success of a large segment of the eCommerce organization with specific accountability in the areas of application frameworks, caching, content management, data analytic s, internal and external APIs and search.

- Assist with establishing and implementing eCommerce architecture, operations, systems, policies and procedures that drive improvement and ensure alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.

- Lead development programs with global impact through large, globally dispersed teams and complex business and technical challenges that achieve the directives and strategies set by the senior leadership team.

- Integrate a range of complex data (e.g., business metrics, customer research, information, and market trends) to guide and influence major corporate initiatives.

- Partner with business units to achieve agreed upon financial goals, while meeting SLA’s and maximizing opportunities to achieve the mission of the organization.

- Anticipate and effectively deal with market, customer and social trends that could enhance the organization’s opportunities or adversely impact business results.

- Meet budgetary goals and objectives while planning, developing and monitoring budget for area of responsibility.

Candidate Profile

- Engineering Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience

- Extensive experience planning and delivering eCommerce solutions supporting high transaction volume with Microsoft technology products

- A minimum of 18 total years of software development experience, with at least 10 years of senior leadership in eCommerce delivery, including managing budgets, resource plans, portfolio delivery and globally-dispersed teams

- Proven history of attracting, building and developing high-performing engineering teams distributed globally

- The creativity and initiative to successfully drive a solution given a clear goal but a limited set of requirements
