Economist - Fixed Income Analysis - BFS

To provide economic research and data input to global market in general and Domestic fixed Income team particular.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintaining fundamental economic data repository (like Systemic Liquidity, Fiscal Deficit, Current Account Deficit, Inflation Trend, Dated Securities Issuance Calendar and Securities register of OMO Purchase/Sale, FPI Investments, and other macroeconomic data etc.).

2. Analysis of Fixed Income market (like Yield Curve, OIS Curve, Corporate Bond Market, Price Sensitivity Analysis of Macro factors, REER and NEER INR Indices etc.).

3. Generating daily fixed income report (FPI Inflows/Outflows, Net Market Activity, Liquidity Snapshot, News and Events relating to Fixed income market) based on previous day events and overnight global macros.

4. Performing quality research and coming up with weekly economic research report with in-depth analysis of all the macroeconomic events happened during the week.

5. Prepare summary of research reports from various other banks and financial institutions highlighting all relevant and important points on a weekly basis.

6. Coordinate with the in-house analytics team and execute various tasks such as building trading strategies, backtesting models and statistical analysis of market movements.

7. Should be well versed with the Financial Platforms like Bloomberg, Cogencis etc.

8. Maintain strong networking with Economists in the industry.

9. Managing the day to day operational framework of the team only on the requirement basis.

10. Knowledge of programming languages like R, Python, C++ etc. is a prerequisite.

Job Requirements : 

Qualifications : Graduation/ Post Graduation preferably in Statistics or Economics

Experience : 2-5 Years

- Functional Competencies - Sound knowledge of Fixed Income Market.

- Strong Analytical skills and experience working with Financial or Economic data.
