Location: Hyderabad Type of position: Full Time Roles and Responsibilities :&nbsp; We are looking for an economist to join our Financial Research group based out of the firm's office in Hyderabad, India. This group works closely with the front office to provide high quality and in-depth support to the investment research team and the decision-based processes of the firm's global proprietary trading strategies. The role involves helping build models to forecast global macroeconomic data events. Primary responsibilities include: - Following, analyzing, and summarizing important developments related to global economic conditions and central bank policies; - Developing and maintaining quantitative models for forecasting macroeconomic data; and - Researching methodology documents provided by government statistical agencies. The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree in economics with 0 to 4 years of experience in empirical/econometric modelling along with strong written and verbal communication skills. Some knowledge of statistical packages (like E-views) is preferred.
