Indian fertilizer industry is estimated to be a INR 3,00,000 crore industry. India is second largest consumers of fertilizers and pesticides and the biggest importer of fertilizer. However, the country's agriculture sector still works with the conventional mode of buying and selling. This opens up huge opportunity of creating disruption in this industry.

eFarm Technologies, is a B2B e-commerce marketplace for buying and selling of agricultural commodities like fertilizers, pesticides, organic and bio fertilizers, Micronutrients, agricultural machinery, etc., intends to challenge the status quo and change this industry for better.

The founding team consists of:

A first generation entrepreneur, an alumni of GD Birla Memorial School, Ranikhet with 15+ years of experience in leading a successful business of manufacturing and selling of agri-based products (fertilizers, seeds, pesticides and other agri-products). He also owns and operates warehousing of approx. 4.50 lakh square feet capacity and have deep expertise in the field of logistics and supply chain management.

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA Institute, USA) and an MBA with 5+ years of work experience, as strategy advisor in one of the Fortune India 500 company, and also in top global companies like Ernst & Young and Royal Bank of Scotland.

Requirement

We are looking for a CTO with hands on experience in end-to-end website and mobile application development who can lead the product, design and technical areas, co-ordinate with external website and application development agencies(initially) and simultaneously build his own team with a clear vision of developing an extra ordinary product.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Work closely with the founders to understand the requirements of the organization and take decisions to develop platform accordingly.

- To build a scalable technology platform by selecting a external development agency and coordinate with the agency for the delivery of the product in a timely manner.

- Manage all e-commerce technology platforms including the strategic planning, development, and support of all Web Initiatives.

- Build complete IT team and play an active role in tech recruitment and team building

- Work with product managers and designers to build amazing consumer facing data driven products.

- Analytic leadership to develop an end-to-end technical solution independently including architecture, algorithms, interfaces, APIs, consumer app, and more.

Suitable candidate profile

- B.E./B.Tech.in Computer Science from a premier institution of India

- Experience of working across product platforms

- Hands on experience in building and scaling up web/ mobile products, preferably with established e-commerce companies/startup(s)

- Sound understanding of app-development frameworks (iOS, Android)

- Experience in selecting and managing external vendors to design and implement designated aspects of enterprise IT requirements and solutions.

- A hands on coder with knowledge of various technologies including, but not limited to Java, JS, PHP, MVC framework, RDBMS, Mobile development, Hadoop
