Experience : 0-3 years

Overall objective :

- Provide finance business partner support to the Global Delivery organizations partnering to develop budgets, forecasts and reporting of actuals. Provide insight into costs by developing cost models to project workforce and other activities.

Education and Experience :

- CA / CMA/ MBA (Fin)- Top Colleges with extensive experience in FP&A / Financial Analysis in finance department of a services org (IT Services Org).

Knowledge and skills :

- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area.

- Excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities :

- Support the monthly flash and close process for the Global Delivery organizations

- Provides complex and occasionally highly complex financial analysis for a financial function or a business, typically exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives, facilitate discussions with the Global Delivery teams, as well as consolidate variance explanations from the teams.

- Partner with Global Delivery teams to ensure timeliness and accuracy of month end close and flash activities by supplying reports and supporting details, researching issues, making SIFT adjustment, updating report due to organization changes, etc.

- Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.

- Forecasts financial results within a broad scope.

- Leads business initiatives, typically leading analysts across multiple sub-functions within finance.

- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.

- Represents the business unit during cross-regional or cross- functional planning processes.

Business Finance :

- Be a true business partner: Provide acute & specific financial insights in Monthly and Quarterly business reviews.

- Build and maintain productive, beneficial relationships with Account Managers and delivery management and other internal groups.

- Educate operations- managers on financial processes, systems, and the financial impact of business decisions.

- Participate as a virtual team member of operations providing financial input that adds value to the business. Interact effectively with leaders.

- Driving the team to deliver on commitments to ensure optimal financial outcomes.

- Keep appropriate parties informed and provide useful decision-making information. Ensure all items are communicated & escalated appropriately at all times

Corporate Finance :

- Ensuring Accounting policies, U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements are adhered to as necessary

- Help in closing the Financial Books.

- Support multiple team in providing the data

- Monitoring Unbilled and Revenue at Risk related activities. Preparation of risk reports, assessing top line impacts and tracking the risk items till closure

- GL level detailed analysis and reconciliation of the same.

Financial & Management Reporting :

- Ensuring Accounting policies, U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements are adhered to as necessary

- Providing financial reports that accurately reflect financial performance

- Review and analyse balance sheet reports to verify financial integrity of assets and liabilities to ensure the company's financial position is accurately reflected.

- Verify that all assets and liabilities are appropriately categorized and reflected in accordance with compliance.

Expertise Analysis :

- Drive margin improvement initiatives with the account.

- Utilize financial, accounting, client and business knowledge and skills to effectively review, analyze, and interpret business and financial data in a timely and accurate manner.

- Continuous Risk assessment and quantification and escalation to Finance and Business leaders including recommendations for risk mitigation

- Perform trend analysis, evaluate and research data, and determine causes for enhanced, consistent, or deteriorated performance.

- Draw conclusions regarding financial performance and recommend ways to sustain and improve performance. Follow up on recommendations to verify implementation

Forecasting, Budgeting & Variance Analysis :

- Work with business head in finalization of revenue and expense of the account P&L forecasting & Budgeting for the future year as well as monthly and quarterly review of the same.

- Conclude the Forecast and Budget process within stipulated timelines & maintain the accuracy.

- Variance Analysis between Forecast, Budget and Actuals on a monthly, Quarterly and Yearly basis.

- Perform and complete close & flash activities in line with the account and DXC reporting calendar

- Drive the forecast process with the Account and maintain working files and models to support the process

- Ensure forecast accuracy through financial modelling and analysis and providing decision making information to business

- Bring DSO, Unbilled revenue & other Balance Sheet sections to target levels.

Pricing :

- Proposal review and Pricing modelling: Review the Pricing proposal in conjunction with the business units, enable dissection of information and alternative methodologies for operational planning/management and decision making

- Review the Contracts/Master Service Agreement in terms of Financial and Pricing clauses. Identifying and Analysing the risk and assessing the impact on the account and the organization in signing up the clauses and providing logical solutions & alternative positions for the effective closure.

Work Timings :

- Shall provide an overlap with regional time zone for the work (hrs.) which warrants an overlap. For other work, overlap could be limited to offer right flexibility to resources to attract and retain talent, especially at senior levels (per local market practices).

- During the close process, the resource shall provide a higher level of time zone coverage (overlap).

Key performance measures :

- Performance to flash

- Accuracy in reporting

- Accuracy in journal entries with appropriate supporting backup

Opportunities to grow :

- As a part of global functions finance, this role will interact with senior global functions leaders and key corporate reporting organizations. Individuals in this role will function as business partners.
