DVP - Operational Risk - BFS

About Role :

- Member of Group Risk Team - Operational Risk (OR) CoE

- Execute, document risk related frameworks and processes

- Identify and recommend improvements in reconciliation process and other processing areas for greater operational efficiency and risk mitigation

- Perform thematic operational risk reviews, incident analysis, RCSAs

- Ensure risks and issues identified are resolved in an appropriate and timely manner

- Recommend appropriate and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues

- Support implementation of OR initiatives for the Business Unit

- Proactively communicate with the Business Unit Head and BORM on operational risk issues. Escalate significant events to BORM & Business Head as appropriate

- Provide update to senior management on major operational risks of the respective businesses.

- Contributing to the effective development and delivery of core ORM elements i.e. identification of the risk profile, delivery of detailed risk assessment, management of risk events, operational losses, escalation and reporting.

- Delivering ORM processes specific to the Risk team e.g. Risk Event tracking, loss reconciliation & provisioning etc.

Functional Skills :

- Knowledge of the financial products offered by Banks and NBFCs

- In depth knowledge of operational risk, governance and control techniques

- Experience in designing risk and control related frameworks

- Knowledge of Risk assessment, risk mitigation, risk event management techniques.

- Excellent analytic ability to understand the diverse complex business issues, identifying root causes and recommending solutions

Soft skills :

- Ability to communicate & influence at all levels

- Quality - high standards and controls.

- Effective interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of internal audit and line management

- Efficient in drafting frameworks, preparing presentations for Senior Management, Board Committees
