About Dunzo Merchant Services

Dunzo Merchant Services (DMS) is the hyperlocal logistics arm of Dunzo that interfaces directly with merchants. It is currently the largest on demand hyperlocal organization in the cities that it operates in, covering over 30K merchants ranging across (i) SMEs and SMBs (ii) Online Aggregators (iii) Omni Channel Enterprise Merchants addressing all of their hyperlocal needs.

It is currently serviceable in 8 cities and we are looking to scale it to the top 25 cities of the country in the next 6 months and become the largest hyperlocal delivery player in the country. As we scale we plan to add newer service lines and products for the merchant ecosystem.

About this role

This role acts as the owner of one of the most critical revenue sources for this business - the SMB business.

This role is also a part of the core group of all decision making at DMS. The role would be the singular owner of growing the SMB network and deploying sales structures and marketing dollars to be able to acquire a large and diverse surface of merchants.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies

- Hire and lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets

- Ensure compliance with targets by means of daily/weekly/monthly reviews

- Monitor and analyze key business performance metrics and suggest improvements

- Perform research and identify new potential markets and customer segments

- Work with product, engineering and design leads to identify product intervention and features required for augmenting growth and / or improving experience / economics

- Optimize and improve inside sales efforts for improved conversion and retention

Key KPIs

- # Of Orders from new and existing clients

- Rev/Km from the business segment

- Given part of the core team, all organizational KPIs

Qualifications -

- 5+ years of overall experience

- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG / Telecom industries

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

- Experience in hiring, building and scaling sales teams from 1 to 100
