Role Overview - Express and Logistics Industry in India is going through a rapid change, and to adapt to the changes and further strengthen its position as the most preferred courier service, DTDC is going through a transformation that will allow it to become even better, smarter, and faster. In our Industry, the transformation is largely composed of technological advancement, and therefore, we need smart, solution-oriented, and hardworking Project Managers to help us reach our goals. - Operation Manager has the overall responsibility for planning and execution of entire set up of Business Associates of B2B First Mile and Last Mile Operations of the Zone & implementation of Operations SOPs. Daily responsibility included activities like management of incoming consignment to load connection directly to Business Associates for Last Mile and checking of all Vendor bills & process for payment & Surface. Preparation of MIS of total consignment delivery, booking report, revenue status and resolution of major complaint & queries. Responsibilities- - Time Management to work with multiple branches and managers across a large zone, driving many miles to coordinate Branch/Franchisee visits and reviews - Improve Zone processes, policies, and practices so as to achieve company's goals and ensure Zone stores adhere to company-wide laid down rules and guidelines - Excellent Leadership skills to keep Business Associates motivated, resolve conflicts and make hard decisions - Coordinate, monitor, and manage various Franchisees/Business Asscociates within a particular geographic zone - Good Decision making skills/ability that affect the company - Help improve the efficiency of support services like communication channels and IT; and also ensure free flowing communication among the stakeholders - Work hand-in- hand with top management (serving as a link between them and the individual Business Associates ) in order to develop and implement new plans/ideas that will enhance the operations of the company at large - Assist in the recruitment of Business Associates, and evaluate Business Associate performance at the end of a given period - Help plan and support marketing and sales activities - Discipline Business Associates who go against company work ethics and also retrench - Business Associates who tend to embark on procedures that are detrimental to company activities - Timely Evaluating performance - Responsible for overall performance of all first mile and last mile performance of the Business Associates. - Conduct and attend zonal meetings for assigned zones - Ability to Analyze and think strategically - Must have customer service skills and be able to maintain a consistent, high level Of service - Reviews service KPIs and addresses metrics that are not meeting targets - Responsible for all aspects of financial oversight for the zonal Business Associates Essential Skill Set- - Man-management - Analytical abilities - Effective communication skills & command in local language - Computer knowledge Desirable Skill Set - Knowledge of logistics Industry and working of Business Associates. Qualifications and Experience - Graduate or Post Graduate with minimum of 10 + years of experience in operations in logistics /Ground Cargo industry.
