AVP - Network Operations Excellence (Mid-Mile)
About the role :
- Lead key transformation initiatives by managing network related programs in collaboration with cross functional teams to drive the network strategy and achieve state of the art lean network operations
- Lead the overall network design (hub & spoke and mesh structure), optimization and continuous efficiency improvement to develop a reliable, cost efficient and agile transportation network
- Own all aspects of how a network impacts customer and shipper experience; manage performance, measure, analyze & then drive initiatives necessary to improve it
- Evaluate network requirements & synergies for various service offerings, identify opportunities of improvement & standardization of network processes and drive overall throughput enhancement
- Develop network capacity planning models, revise plans based on business requirements, align with all stakeholders and drive implementation
- Define, launch and manage projects having direct impact on network constructs
- Dig deep in data to determine health of network, work with operations to identify causes of failure, clearly define actionable decisions and drive corrective actions
- Evaluate and implement new technological solutions to improve network planning & processes
- Maintain governance with relevant stakeholders through weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business performance reviews
- Develop playbook for appropriate response by network operations to unexpected events like strikes, weather disruptions, major capacity losses, etc. to continually strengthen business continuity management

Basic Qualification :
- Bachelor's/Master's degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
- At least 8-10 years of business experience in areas relevant to network optimization such as operations research, supply chain management, linehaul management and design
- Strong Data and Analytics capabilities - Ability to leverage large amounts of complex data sets to support business decisions by telling the story with data
