DST Systems - UI Architect

Overall job description :

You will be a member of a cross-functional agile team responsible for delivering technical solutions to help our clients find opportunity in ever-changing and complex customer, business, and regulatory requirements. We are looking for highly motivated candidates who are/can:

Responsibilities :

a. Design and develop applications according to the business needs

- Work in an agile environment with strong commitment to team goals and demonstration of scrum values

- Involve in all phases of SDLC including proof of concept, prototype, technical design (high and low level), coding, unit testing, implementation

- Involve in high level project estimation and release planning

- Active participation in all Scrum ceremonies (Daily stand up, Sprint planning, Grooming, Sprint retrospective and Sprint reviews)

- Review technical design, code and business documentation

- Design and build UI architecture, components, and customizations for applications

- Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser/device compatibility amongst leading modern browsers

- Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components

- Strong knowledge of design principles, user interfaces, web standards and usability

- Ability to solve the technical problems encountered during UI development process

- Collaborate with the team for achieving sprint commitments, should take up any available task from the backlog in order to meet the sprint goal

- Exhibit strong debugging and analytical skills while resolving issues

- Provide technical leadership and direction to the team

- Mentor other developers in the team

b. Ensure quality of deliverables by applying engineering practices such as TDD/BDD, Unit Testing and Automation Testing as needed

c. Work closely with other developers, QAs, BAs, and Project Leader in a self-organized Agile team

d. Work collaboratively with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Project Manager, Product Owner and other counterparts in the US or other countries as needed

Qualifications :

Essential :

- Bachelor's or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field from a reputed institute

Essential Technology: 

a. 12 years Bexperience in UI and UI-based Web application development with good database knowledge

b. Knowledge and expertise in building responsive web design with HTML5, Javascript, CSS4, AJAX, JQuery

c. Good knowledge on JSON, Angular, KnockoutJS, ExtJS, node.js, Backbone.js, XML,

d. Unit Testing using Q Units

e. Knowledge in Relational Database, Dimensional Database, and SQL

- Must have worked on CICD environment (Git, Maven)

a. Excellent communication (spoken and written English) and collaboration skills

b. Excellent problem solving skills

c. Zeal to explore and cross learn

d. Openness to work on multiple technology stacks

- Preferred Technology Skills

a. Knowledge of Micro services architecture

b. Experience on any BPM product development

c. Knowledge on core Java, JEE and EJB experience

d. Web-Services Development (REST and SOAP)

e. Database knowledge - MS SQL and/or Oracle. Knowledge of any open databases like MySQL or MongoDB will be an added advantage

f. Basic knowledge on Flex
