Role Context

To be a part of the contract management team, and function within the statutory laws, policies and procedures of Dr. Reddy's. The objective is to enter into the agreements with business partners with minimum exposure to risk and with least liability.

Education & Experience: Preferably M.A.LLB/B.A.LLB with 6-10 years of experience in contract management preferably in a pharmaceutical company.

Business Understanding: In-depth understanding of all aspects of the Pharmaceutical value chain

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead counsel for a dedicated vertical: Be a single point of contact for a dedicated vertical, draft, review, and negotiate various types of agreements or in conjunction with the specialized lawyer, deal with other legal issues relating to the vertical always keeping in loop the commercial/business team. Take risk mitigation measures in the interest of the organization. Escalate issues if required to the superiors at an appropriate juncture. Will be responsible start to end for the delivery of all legal issues affecting the vertical.

2. Retrieval of Agreements from Repository: Manage the Legal Documents Repository. Retrieve the business agreement from the repository based on business (Global Generics) request and requirement and share with the related business in order to meet the business requirements like amendment, termination of an agreement and keep track of annual business commitment (Obligations) & Liabilities

3. Legal Research: Conduct research for supporting due-diligence, policy drafting, litigation; consolidate and compile the research material, submit the research data to the team leader in order to support the legal processes with accurate and on-time research data

External: Business stakeholders.

Technical Requirements: Current developments in Laws (whether of India or the of relevant jurisdiction), Research sites, MS Office

- Good at networking - able to influence peers and senior stakeholders
