Role: Business Analyst - IT&BPE - R&D

Reporting To: Lead IT BPE - R&D

Location: Bachupally, Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities:

- Participate in business user requirements & understand the key process challenges of R&D organization

- Reviews and prepare requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.

- Derive action oriented insights from data sets for senior leadership and imbibe a culture of data driven decision making

- Assist leadership in driving strategy deployment for R&D across verticals through FGD; review meetings; system health metric dashboard design and tracking.

- Develops functional specifications and system design specifications

- Identifying process non value adds using lean process tools to eliminate redundancies from R&D operations.

- Performing shop floor kaizens & Poka Yokes to enhance R&D productivity and mistake proofing.

- Maintain and continuously improve R&D process inventories by driving continuous process improvement & simplification projects.

- Oversee development of solution prototype

- Lead strategy deployment projects while managing timelines/risks /budget

- Should be able to actively facilitate the process of change management for institutionalization of benefits across R&D organization.

- Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a pro-active manner

- Communicates needed changes to development team

Operating Network

Internal: All functions and teams within the organization across India and overseas locations

External: Vendors, implementation partners, knowledge networks

Technical Requirements:

- Candidate should have basic understanding of data mining (structured/unstructured) tools and techniques

- Should be a quick to grasp the existing R&D process flows and identify key impact areas to work upon

- Candidate should have good data visualization skills using tableau, Excel, Excel Addins and equivalent and should be enthusiastic about data.

- Good presentation and summarization skills; Good communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders

- Must be a good team player and display empathy & dynamism in his/her way of working.

- Capability to perform a detailed process mapping analysis using process mapping techniques like VSM; Swimlane; PFD etc.

Educational Qualifications: B.Tech/M.Sc. An MBA degree would be preferred

Experience Required: Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in a reputed medium to large-scale manufacturing organization (preferably in Pharmaceuticals industry) or in a consulting firm. Prior experience in manufacturing operations would be ideal.
