Head - Finance (Shared Service Center) ROLES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES : Primary position Objectives : - Overseeing the operations of the Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable or Fixed Assets Shared Service team reporting to Overall Shared Services Lead - Ensure the SLAs &amp; TATs are adhered to - Continuous Improvement of services provided by Accounts Payable Shared Services - Overseeing people development of the Accounts Payable Shared Services Team Key responsibilities : - Oversees the completion of tasks of the AP/ AR/ FA team, ensures proper coverage, cross training, and efficiencies are in place, and provide responses to staff inquiries - Provide leadership, expertise, and guidance to the staff to ensure that all invoices and expense reports are researched and properly processed for payment within the stated terms - Manage day to day activities of the team - Respond to clients on any process related queries and manage escalations - Coordinates month end and year end closing activities. Ensures all invoices received have been posted prior to close or properly accrued - Month End Process including, but not limited to: account reconciliations, journal entries, GR/IR, open payables, etc. - Corresponds with both internal and external customers, responding promptly to requests - Troubleshoots and resolves issues that impact AP/ AR/ FA with the help of SSC Lead as needed - Assist in the testing of upgrades and fixes to systems - Understands and complies with established departmental processes and procedures designed to support internal efforts - Assist with internal and external audits. Identifies and brings to the attention of the department management any internal control deficiencies - Review teams work product for accuracy and record counts - Assists with special projects and process improvements as assigned - Assist with the maintenance of AP/ AR/ FA process and policy documentation, identify areas of process and productivity improvement, and assist in implementing required changes - Communicates effectively with SSC Lead and provide information related to issues, roadblocks, and accomplishments of the team
